1) Blood Donation Festival Every Year On Auspicious Republic Day Our Blood Donation Festival Is Organised And In This Year About 60 People Donated Their Blood. 2) One Of The Significant Programmes Of The Year 2008 Was The Sit And Draw Competition Of The Differently Abled Children Who Are Determined To Be In The Main Stream With A Firm Conviction. It Is Our Pleasure To State That The Internationaly Recognised Sculptor Sri Niranjan Pradhan’s August Presence Was A Source Of Inspiration To The Competitors And Internationally Applauded Magician Sri P.c. Sarkar Blest The Up-coming Child-artists And Distributed Some Interesting Magic Tools Which He Had Brought With Him To All Compelitors. 3) We Organise Eye Care Camp Every Year With The Help Of Lions Club Of Behala. From This Camp We Distribute Spectacles To The Poorer Section Of People And We Send Some Of Them To Lions Club Hospital For Free Cataract Operation. 4) We The Members Of Behala Nutan Dal Stand Beside Kolkata Hope Foundation, A Leading Social Organisation In Various Function Throughout The Year. We Donated Some Amount To The Hope Foundation From The Ticket Sale Proceding Of Our Chaitali Natyotsav. In Future We Are Going To Organise A Culture Programme To Help The New Child Hospital Of Hope Foundation. 5) Rabindra Jayanti Utsab Is Organised Every Year By The Club. All The Members Take Active Parts To Inculcate Ideals And Literary Works Of Rabindranath Among Common People. 6) Long Gone Are The Days That The City Of Joy Boasted Of Beautiful Birds Perched On Trees. It Seemed That The Colourful Birds Were A Thing Of Long Lost History. To Be Honest Very Rarely Were Something Done To Resurrect The Beauty These Colourful Birds Imposed On The Nature Which The Skyscrapers Took A Hefty Toll On. To Break The Jargon, Behala Nutan Dal Came To The Foray And Started A Campaign To Bring Back The Colours Of The Feathers To The Eyes Of The Beholders. It Started Organising The Bird Festival In Behala Since 2015. The Effort Was An Instant Hot And Recieved Wide Acclaim From All Corners Of The City. People From All Walks Of Life Came To The Fetsival Enthused By This Unique Venture That Saw A Conglomeration Of The Most Unique And Prized Collection Of The Kings Of The Sky. The Event Has Gained Momentum Ever Since Growing In Stature And Popularity And Has Been Recognised As One Of Behala's Most Prestigious And Sought After Event With Its Popularity Growing Many Fold With Every Passing Year With Increasing Spectators And Participants. 7) Every Wednesday A Free Medical Camp Is Operated From Our Club In Association With Loknath Divine Life Mission Where 100 Of People Take Medical Asistance. 8) Every Year In The Winter All The Members Of Our Club Take Part In Annual Picnic With The Members Of There Family. Last Year We Went To Shankar Pur Sea Beach And Enjoyed The Picnic Verry Much.

Puja History of Behala Nutan Dal

On behalf of Behala Nutan dal, a leading Socio-Cultural organisation of south suburban part of City of Joy Kolkata, we convey our greetings for forthcoming biggest festival of India - Durga Puja. Behala Nutan Dal was established in the year 1966 and since then we are devoted for upliftment of Social and Cultural activities in our locality. For the past few years we have organised Blood Donation Camp, Health Camp, Eye Checkup Camp, Drawing Festival for defferently Abled Children, Bird Show,Drama Festival and many other cultural programmes but above all these programmes The Durga Puja of Behala Nutan Dal has became a phenomenon in the history of Kolkata Durgotsab. Lakhs & Lakhs of people from whole Bengal and even outside of West Bengal visit our Durga Puja during our 8 day long Festival. We were awarded 250 nos. of "Durga Puja Sarod Samman" award from various reputed organisation in the last 12 years.
